Are you green fingered or wish you were? Why not come along to the village’s thriving Gardening Club where you’ll meet a friendly group of like-minded people of all ages.
We run a range of talks and garden visits to improve gardening knowledge and skills, social events, and the annual Village Show in September.
This is one of the highlights of our year. Both members and non-members alike enter their produce, plants, crafts, cookery for the chance to win one of the coveted Gardening Club cups. There’s a mixture of keenly contested vegetable, flower and cookery classes, as well as the fun of entering something. It’s also a great afternoon out to enjoy the fabulous displays. The show is held in September at the Village Hall.
On the first Tuesday of every month is the club’s regular talk, held in the Village Hall. Our guest speakers present and provide practical demonstrations on a wide range of topics. Non-members are welcome for a small fee – which is refunded if you become a full member!

In the spring and summer, the club arranges visits to gardens both near and far. Transport is provided or car shares. Details are provided at the monthly meetings.
The club holds an ever-popular summer garden party in July, and a Christmas party in December.
