You can find <a href=\"https:\/\/www.skbgardeningclub.org.uk\/calendar\/\">the current schedule here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>February 5th: Taplow Court Garden (Phil Rollinson)<\/strong><br>As head gardener at Taplow Court for over 7 years, Phil will talk on the Restoration &amp; Innovation \u2013 the history of the English Country Garden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>March 5th: Reinvent your Garden (Tamsin Westhorpe)<\/strong><br>Are you tired of your plot? Tamsin shares advice on giving your garden a new lease of life. Planting and design ideas that can be undertaken yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>April 2nd: Heavenly Hostas (John Baker and June Coley)<\/strong><br>John Baker and June Colley together run the Hanging Hosta garden at Linford which is one of the finest Hosta gardens in the UK containing some 1500 different varieties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>May 7th: Green Manures (Rachel Roberts)<\/strong><br>Green manures: what are they, and how can they help my soil? What makes a \u2018good\u2019 or \u2018poor\u2019 soil, and how do green manures aid food production &#8211; from field to vegetable patch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>June 4th: Practical Propagation (Victoria Logue)<\/strong><br>Trained at Pershore College, Victoria worked for Bob Brown at Cotswold Garden Flowers. She now runs a tiny plant nursery in the Cotswolds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>July 13th (Saturday): Garden Party (ticketed event)<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>August 20th: Guided tour of Aston Pottery gardens<\/strong><br>Free to members but partners and friends \u00a35. Garden tour begins at 7pm, food available (optional, price tbc) beforehand. Tour and food <strong>must be pre-booked<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>September 3rd: Stumperies, Ferns and Shady Friends (Andrew Tolman)<\/strong><br>Andrew Tolman a professional gardener for 30 years and formally a Senior Gardener to the Prince of Wales in his private garden at Highgrove where amongst many things he developed a passion for Topiary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>September 14th (Saturday): ANNUAL SHOW<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>October 1st: Growing Vegetables in Small Gardens (Geoff Hawkins)<\/strong><br>An illustrated talk showing how even the small garden can produce home grown produce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>November 5th: Annual General Meeting<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>December 3rd: Christmas Party<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Below is an archive of the talks for 2019.
